Abstract:
Magnesium is one of the four essential elements (potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium). It is of great significance to maintain the normal form and function of human body. Magnesium and sodium metabolism is different, there is no hormone in the body to regulate serum magnesium, magnesium normal range is to rely on the balance of absorption and excretion, so the lack of magnesium in a timely manner to supplement magnesium is essential. At present, magnesium sulfate is mainly used as a magnesium supplement in clinic, but it can only be administered intravenously because of its diarrhea and antagonistic calcium ion effect. The new magnesium supplement Magnesium orotate has been listed in Europe and the United States in recent years. Compared with magnesium sulfate, it has the advantages of oral administration and small toxic and side effects. Clinically, it is mainly used for the treatment of hyperlipidemia, arrhythmia and liver disorder.Key words:
